Cornice Kits

The Avalon Cornice is offered in 6", 9", 12", and 15" drop (height) in any width that you need (up to 50’).

• The 6" and 9" Avalon Cornice looks great on small bathroom & kitchen windows. They are also popular for children’s rooms.
• The 12" Avalon Cornice looks great on standard size windows and over sliding glass doors.
• The 15" Avalon Cornice looks wonderful on very wide windows or in rooms with very tall ceilings.

Here's an easy way to determine what height works best for you using a regular 8 ½ X 11 sheet of paper.

• Have someone hold the paper lengthwise so that the longest side of the paper runs the length of your opening. They'll probably need to use a step stool or ladder to hold the paper in the approximate location where the finished cornice would go. From across the room, you would observe how it looks. This simulates our 9" drop cornice.
• If this looks too big, then you'll want the 6" cornice kit.
• Next have them rotate the paper so that it's up and down like you would normally use it. This simulates our 12" drop cornice. Does this look better than the 9" drop, or does it still look to small?
• If this way is too big, you'll want to order our 9" cornice kit. If this looks just right, you'll want to order our 12" cornice kit. If this is still looks too small, then you'll want to order our 15" cornice kit.
